Job Description and Requirements
Job Title: Chief Accountant Reports to: CFO
Handle full spectrum of financial and cost accounting role; AR, AP, GL, budgeting and responsible for day-to-day finance and accounts operations and perform full set of accounts and ensure timely closing of accounts.
Responsibilities and Duties
Ensure all transactions are made accurately and entered on time in the accounting system
Maintain general and subsidiary ledgers, accounts receivable and payables, revenue distribution, cost, inventory, operating expenses, depreciation and records.
Ensure suppliers and customers invoice and reconciled and payments made.
Prepare monthly accounts reconciliations.
Supervises and participates in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
Assist with financial and tax audits.
Manages the deployment and maintenance of new accounting, timekeeping, payroll, inventory, cost of goods, Visa related online services and other related procedures and controls.
Ensure the compliance with IFRS and other regulations.
Ensure Delegation of Authority (DOA) is duly complied with across the company.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
5-7 years’ experience.
SAP Business One experience preferable
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret relevant technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
Knowledge of QuickBooks, Microsoft Office (including Outlook, Excel; Word, and PowerPoint).
Knowledge of Online Accounting software
Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
Work within approved budget; develop and implement cost saving measures; contribute to profits and revenue; conserve organizational resources.
